Where Did All the Meat Go?

While in Nauvoo we had a picnic lunch at the park.  Edwin cut up some summer sausage to accompany the cheese, crackers, and apples we had.  After cutting several pieces of sausage he put the remaining meat in the cooler.  Perplexity soon set in when he noticed the meat he just finished cutting had vanished. Puzzled he asked, "Hey, where did all the sausage meat go?"
Anne equally puzzled ask, "Yeah, where did all da sausage meat go?"
Edwin looked at Anne and laughed.
There is all the sausage meat!
Anne said, "No, that not all the sausage meat.  That's my sausage meat.  Where did all da sausage meat go?"
In the end, Edwin pulled out the brick of summer sausage and cut himself a few more pieces.

Uncle Daniel in Nauvoo

Uncle Daniel came to visit for a week.  We went to Nauvoo and enjoyed the sights and spirit there.
We made a rope and enjoyed the festivities at the family living center.
We attended the Rendezvous that night and it was by far the favorite event for the girls.
We stayed the night in a hotel and went to Carthage in the morning. What an experience to see the bullet holes in the door and feel the solemnity of Joseph and Hyrum Smith's deaths.

Strawberry Rhubarb Pie

Anne loves to cook. She is a great line chef chopping up strawberries for pie and olives for pizza.
No one was harmed during this event.

Cure for the Blues

James is 6 months.  He's crawling, pulling up to standing, races towards any open door, and plays on the stairs with the dream of reaching the top one day soon.  I must admit that my favorite things are his bear hugs and slobbery wet kisses. Boy, oh boy...What A Boy.
