Christmas Doll House

Last May I found this adorable, unfinished doll house. I purchased it early for the girls' Christmas gift. Once we settled into our new place I took the kids to the craft store and let them pick out their favorite paper.

I painted the entire house during the nights when the girls were sleeping soundly in bed.
Edwin thought I was crazy for wanting to paint rocks on the chimney, but he was pleased with the results and glad that I did it. Grace picked out the pink paper, and I found the orange and green to accent the walls.
Anne likes the purple paper and the pink with butterflies. The house came with people and furniture (still unpainted because I can't bear to paint it all pink...I'm waiting for the pink phase to wear off a little bit!) However, we did sew blankets for the bed and we enjoy dressing the dolls with all the doll clothes Aunt Karen sent us! This was taken Christmas morning! Two very happy girls.

Teddy Bear Dinner Rolls

My mother made these all the time when I was a kid. (sorry the picture is all weird...crazy blog quirks)
I decided to share the treats with the girls.

Princess Tea Party

My neighbor invited us for a Princess Tea Party.
We had a great time.
I wish we took a picture of me all dressed up with plastic ear rings, jewelry and a fancy dress.

Red Envelopes

My upstairs neighbor is actively involved in many political campaigns and here is one I found noteworthy to participate in too.
RED ENVELOPE CAMPAIGN:
Due to President Obama's pro-abortion policies there is much concern regarding laws that will be passed to make abortions easier, more convenient, and with few parental notifications for minors.
All you need to do to join many others is send an empty red envelope to President Obama.
Address:
President Obama
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Ave
Washington D.C. 20500
The back of many envelopes read:
This envelope represents one child who died in abortion. It is empty because that life was unable to offer anything to the world.
Life Begins at Conception.
May our voices be heard and may lives be spared.
