Ketchup

Well, instead of ketchup, I really mean it's time to catch up on a lot of what we have been up to the last couple of months. Jen has been working hard on doing some redecorating around the house. The book nook above the stairs has been needing some loving touches. Jennifer got some big thick foam to make pillows for the kids to sit around and read on. She let the girls paint the fabric covers she made to fit.

The snow all melted a couple of weeks ago and we've been having some fun playing outside.

Then last week it snowed again. James and John have been wanting to make a snowman all winter, but the new snow has always been too cold for it to stick together very well. We finally had the right kind of snow to build a snowman and have a great snowball fight.

Here is the final product. Well this is the day after when he started to melt again.

We had a family ice fishing day with my ice fishing buddies Paul and Gil when the kids were out for school on president's day.

Anne caught the smallest fish but still wanted to eat him anyway. Perch are pretty delicious.

John and Anne both stepped in a hole in the ice. Here is John wearing my spare socks as pants getting ready to go home.

Grace was pretty proud of her big fish.

Robert had a birthday at the end of January. It's hard to believe how big he's getting.

The BYU young ambassadors came to Lander to perform. We had the privilege of hosting these great young men in our home the night after their performance.

Grace and Anne both had nightstands made out of particle board that were looking a little worse for the wear. We took some measurements and designed new matching nightstands with a few modifications so each would fit the specific wants of their particular owners. Here we are gluing up some oak boards for the top of the stands. We finished them last month and they are currently in use.
