Convenient Baby

We went to the Dr. to discuss latest possible delivery dates. Between the Dr's vacation schedule and Edwin's test schedule the conversation went like this....

Dr: We are definately having a baby next week. Sorry, but I'm not leaving town until you have a baby and I'm leaving town Friday afternoon.

Edwin: Wednesday I have to give a presentation that is mandatory.

Dr: Well then Wednesday is not a good day. Lets plan a Thursday induction.

Edwin: We have to be done by 6am on Friday because I have a test.

Dr: That could potentially be a problem if the hospital is busy you'll be bumped back. Not to mention I already have a patient scheduled for induction that day for other reasons. But we could work it out.

Edwin: Is Wednesday afternoon an option?

Dr: What about your study time? Are you going to need Thursday to study for your test?

Edwin: No, I'm not worried about my test, I just need to be present to take it. I have nothing too important Wednesday after 12...12:30. Yeah, 12:30 is better.

They both turned to me and agreed on Wednesday afternoon. We'll meet at the hospital at 12:30 and have a baby before 6am on Friday!!! I'm so glad Edwin and Dr could get things to meet their schedules! My only job is to have a baby within the 42 hour time frame they have allocated!!!

No pressure baby!!

Did you sing too?

A frog goes into a bank and approaches the teller. He can see from her nameplate that her name is Patricia Whack.

"Miss Whack, I'd like to get a $30,000 loan to take a holiday."

Patty looks at the frog in disbelief and asks his name. The frog says his name is Kermit Jagger, his dad is Mick Jagger, and that it's okay, he knows the bank manager. Patty explains that he will need to secure the loan with some collateral.

The frog says, "Sure. I have this," and produces a tiny porcelain elephant, about an inch tall, bright pink and perfectly formed.

Very confused, Patty explains that she'll have to consult with the bank manager and disappears into a back office.

She finds the manager and says, "There's a frog called Kermit Jagger out there who claims to know you and wants to borrow $30,000, and he wants to use this as collateral."

She holds up the tiny pink elephant. "I mean, what in the world is this?"

The bank manager looks back at her and says...

"It's a knickknack, Patty Whack. Give the frog a loan. His old man's a Rolling Stone."

Tight Sqeeze

I opted to drive Edwin to work early in the morning. On the way to the car I tried to take my normal route through the parking lot. Horrified, I realized too late that if I continued on my charted course a tow truck would be needed to remove me from between the neighbor's car and the parking lot pillar!!! Backing up and walking around several vehicles was devastating enough, but then....

I heard the laughter.
Thanks Edwin!
