Reading Club
Grace was invited to join the reading club down the block. She is the only girl with three boys. A friend of mine wanted to give her little guy a head start with Reading so she offered to hold a reading club. When I agreed to let Grace participate I thought a group of kids would read books and then play. Little did I know that this club includes, Secret Club Member Hand Shakes, workbooks, homework assignments, book reports, phonics reading, and much, much more. Grace absolutely loves it. She is overcoming some of her shy tendencies, and has learned to play well with boys. This elite group helps her feel grown up and different from the little kids. Her writing is improving and she pays special attention to how words sound and their pronunciations.
WARNING: THIS IS NOT A BOOK CLUB OR A READING GROUP. IT IS READING CLUB!
Although Grace loves going, I think Anne enjoys staying home with mom. We have quiet play time together while James naps. Candyland has never been so fun! Anne also enjoys going grocery shopping if James is awake. She is a great help at the store and enjoys finding good things to eat. Every week she wants to buy Jello and pudding, which I permit. I may have a year's supply of pudding by the time this Reading Club is over! Anyone want to come over for some pudding?

Life Gets Messy Some Days
3:30pm
We made Chocolate Dipped Strawberries
Notice the drool all the way to his belly button.
Later that same day.....
Refried Beans, Fish Tacos, and Spanish Rice
Isn't life DELICIOUS?!
Color My World
We Love Color!!!
What a family at the CRAZY T-Shirt Party! Grace and Anne wanted to be "Yippies" so they had me do "Yippie Braids" for them. We aren't quite hippies because we are lacking the bell bottom pants, but Yippies are pretty close, eh?

Ale, Maya, and other Kids
Alejandra is five.
Maya is three.
We had the priviledge of watching these two girls for a week while their parents were away for medical reasons. I've wondered what I've been doing with my days lately, and well....I finally uploaded the camera to discover my days are usually spent with other children! We love play dates!Ryan and Ben came over to play StarWars with us while mom went to the doctor. She delivers twins on Friday. We expect to see these Jedi's often.
Here is our wild boy play date. Charlie and Eli (on the left) were here so their mom could help Clifton's family move (boy on the right wearing Superman Shirt).
Our girls are learning to play with boys a bit better. However, they are still very girlie and enjoy playing Barbies. The boys are often found playing Barbies and girl games too. My favorite is when they all play dress up and I find the boys in the pink fuzzie jacket. I think every little boy has worn it at least once!
